Dale Earnhardt Jr.-owned
team JR Motorsports has announced they will move
development driver
Richard Boswell up
to the USAR Hooters Pro Cup Series for 2007. Boswell
toured tracks around the southeast region in 2006 and

-Dassow, former WalTom team, unite for ASA season-
ASA driver
Travis Dassow and
the team formerly known as WalTom Racing will team-up
for the 2007 season. T.D. Racing will feature Dassow as
the driver and championship-winning Howie Lettow as the
crew chief. The WalTom team had captured back-to-back
ASA Late Model titles with
Stephen Leicht and
Kelly Bires as the
drivers. Dassow finished 7th in the standings last

-Martin named Development Coordinator at Ginn-
Ginn Racing announced
today that Mark Martin will take over the day-to-day
duties of overseeing the team's development efforts.
Martin will focus on working with former Motorcross

Ricky Carmichael as

son),
Matt Bowers (winner
in Bandaleros division at Lowe's Motor Speedway), and
Chad Akins (2006 FASCAR Pro Truck

Florida late model ringer
Jeff Choquette will
run the full ASA Southern Division schedule in addition
to running select Florida-based races. Choquette was a
part of the 2005 edition of the Rough Gong Show and was
a multi-time winner at New Smyrna Speedway and DeSoto

Series regular and Snowflake 100 winner
Matt Hawkins will
compete for Rookie of the Year honors in the USAR
Hooters Pro Cup Series this season. The Georgia native
will be a teammate to veteran Mike Garvey and focus

After a long courtship,
Richard Childress Racing officially inked
Tim McCreadie to a
development contract and will enter him in races on the
Grand National West circuit. McCreadie captured the
A-Main victory in the 2006 Chili Bowl and won the series
point standings in the World of Outlaws Late Model
division. He will continue to race dirt late models in
2007 as well as his GN West schedule for Golden Gate

-Roush will give Shepherd time in #50 truck-
Roush Racing will split
the driving duties of its #50 entry in the NASCAR
Craftsman Truck Series between Nextel Cup regular Carl
Edwards and NCTS rookie
Pete Shepherd for
the 2007 season. Shepherd, a former CASCAR Rookie of the
Year, test the #50 at Daytona but the team has elected
Edwards as the driver for the season opener at the World

Motorsports. He will compete in the Southern Division

New Mexico's
Alex Kennedy will
drive an ASA Late Model for team 5K Motorsports. The
team will compete in ASA's Northern Division where the
14 year-old will compete for Rookie of the Year honors.

Defending Hut Hundred

Darren Hagen will
pilot an entry for RFMS Racing for the full 2007 USAC
National Midget Series schedule. Hagen, who will also

to capture the Toyota Challenge title in 2006.

Team Rensi Motorsports
will fund the 2007 ASA Season for Michigan late model
racer
Chad Finley.
Finley, 14, scored his ASA career best finish of 16th at
Hawkeye Downs Speedway last September. He will be
eligible for the ASA Northern Division's Rookie of the

Donnie Ray Crawford
will get at least one more opportunity behind the wheel
of a Keith Kunz Motorsports entry at the USAC season
opener at Manzanita Speedway (AZ). Crawford had a

Jesus Hernandez,
with funding from NASCAR's Drive for Diversity, will
graduate to the Grand National East Series for a full
2007 schedule. He posted two feature late model wins at
Hickory Motor Speedway in 2006. As he did in late
models, Hernandez will pilot in-house equipment for Ginn

Jessica Helberg and
Chris Bristol
headline a group of drivers heading into NASCAR's
grassroots divisions for 2007. Helberg, a former
open-wheel racer, will likely replace
Allison Duncan
behind the wheel of a Bill McAnally Racing late model in
the Richard Childress Racing development program.
Bristol, who drove last season with Ken Schrader Racing,
will now have a full-time Grand National East effort
with Fitz Motorsports. Former IRL driver
Lloyd Mack is
slated to pilot a STAR Motorsports entry in the Grand

Ohio native
Ryan Howard will
run the Daytona ARCA race for Country Joe Racing.
Howard, the highest finishing rookie in the 2006 ARCA

season for Haas CNC development driver
Blake Bjorkland.

Bryan Clauson
will pilot the #41 Dodge for seven races on the 2007
NASCAR Busch Series schedule. His Busch Series debut
will come at Richmond International Raceway on September
7. His schedule continues with Kansas, Charlotte,
Memphis, Fort Worth, Phoenix, and Homestead. Clauson
will make his ARCA debut on March 24 at USA

Former Hendrick Motorsports development driver
Kyle Krisiloff
tested a #14 Ford Fusion for Hass-Carter Motorsports
this weekend at Daytona International Speedway and will

Krisiloff was released from his ride with Billy Ballew

-RCR, McAnally, part ways with Sellers-
Richard Childress Racing and satellite team Bill
McAnally Racing will not be providing a ride for
Peyton Sellers for
the 2007 season. Released from the RCR development
program, Sellers captured the 2005 NASCAR Dodge Weekly
Series title and finished fifth in the final Grand
National West point standings in 2006.

-Jeffrey Earnhardt a likely signing for DEI-
jayski.com is reporting that
Jeffrey Earnhardt
is a likely addition to the Dale Earnhardt Inc.
development program. Earnhardt, who competed at Motor
Mile Speedway with mixed success, will be the first
addition to the DEI development stable since the
graduation of driver Paul Menard to the Nextel Cup
ranks.
